Dear Spring Lake Elementary Families, Students, and Community,

The air is buzzing with excitement as we eagerly anticipate the start of a brand new school year at Spring Lake Elementary! We hope you've all had a wonderful summer filled with joy and relaxation. Now, it's time to embark on an incredible journey of learning, growth, and discovery together.

This year holds an immense opportunity for every single student to shine. We are committed to fostering an environment where high expectations are not just met, but exceeded, in all areas. This includes high expectations for student learning, where every child is challenged to reach their full academic potential. We also hold high expectations for behavior, ensuring a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment for everyone. And, of course, high expectations for attendance are crucial, as consistent presence in the classroom is foundational to success.

We cannot emphasize enough the importance of attending school every day. Each day brings new lessons, new insights, and new opportunities for connection. Regular attendance directly supports academic achievement and lays the groundwork for each student's future success. Every moment in the classroom is a building block for their dreams.

At Spring Lake Elementary, we believe in the power of our students and staff to S.O.A.R. This acronym guides our actions and aspirations:

  • Safe: We are Safe with our words and actions, creating a secure and welcoming space for all.

  • Own: We Own our words and actions, taking responsibility and learning from every experience.

  • Achieve: We Achieve through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.

  • Resilient: We are Resilient, bouncing back from challenges and growing stronger with every obstacle overcome.

We know that true success is a collaborative effort. Through a strong partnership with our community, families, and school, we are confident that we can rise and soar to new heights together. Your involvement and support are invaluable as we work to empower every student to reach their fullest potential.

We look forward to welcoming you all back and starting this incredible journey!

Warmly,

Gina M. Warkentien, Principal, Spring Lake Elementary School
