What is Title IX?
Title IX is a federal law, enacted in 1972, stating that no person on the basis of sex shall be "excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."
Reporting Options
To make an official report of sexual misconduct and/or interpersonal violence at Spring Lake Elementary, you may contact Dr. Luriela Clemente, Title IX Coordinator.
OCPS has established a set of provisions to provide a fair process for complainants and respondents, while ensuring complainant protections under Title IX. These provisions can be found in School Board Policy JB, Equal Educational Opportunities.
